Deceptive policies and lack-luster service. Tried using a Groupon. They took the lunch menu away and made us use the dinner menu, which is almost twice the price. This is not stated in the Groupon anywhere. We were still going to order and pay the higher prices but our waiter left for over 10 minutes. We couldn't wait any longer as we were on lunch break and had to leave. Will never go back. Ocha lost a chain of potential new customers.

Omg my husband and I love this place!!! If you love sushi this is the place to go! They have a sushi and drink happy hour that we found on our 3rd trip here :) They have a sushi master named Jay and he couldn't be better. He even made up rolls for us since we've tried everything on the menu. I'm not a professional sushi reviewer but this place has large rolls for a great price. Look at my pics if you don't believe me. My favorite so far was the House of Thai Special roll. On another note- all the other staff is very nice and friendly. It is very clean and has a nice ambiance hope this helps!

This restaurant is a family own restaurant. The food was beyond delicious. The service was great. I tried both sushi and Thai. I enjoyed it so much. I would recommend anybody who would like to have amazing meals.

First time going to Ocha. I was pleasantly surprised. The pad Thai was scrumptious. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Creamy Coconut soup & Sunset roll. A great place if you're in the area.

Ocha is my go to Thai and sushi place. The special sushi rolls made for me ( yes Chef Jay made special rolls for me based on my favorites: eel, salmon, tuna and mackerel) we're magnificent. They were so fresh and they melt on their mouth kind of. My friend who lived in Bangkok was craving for a rice dish ( I forget its name) but it wasn't in the menu list and they gladly made it for her. It took her back to Thailand. I love the clean look of the place. The decors have touches of Thailand and influences of Japanese touches. If you crave for sushi and at the same time crave for Thai food, Ocha is the place to be. You'll have a taste of both worlds and your cravings fixed,

I have been here about half a dozen times. The food is as close to how mom makes at home (hint, my parents are from Thailand)!! They have great lunch specials! The menu has a good selection. You can pick your dish and then select the type of meat or, if you are a vegetarian, there is an option for you! If you are looking for good homemade Thai food, give Ocha a try!!

Good food, great service. Ordered the spicy clams at the medium spice level. 3 clams weren't open and I pointed it out to the lady and without blinking she offered to replace said clams. The sunset roll was pretty good. The yellowtail roll, the super basic roll that we use to judge a sushi spot, was extremely fresh and it's just what we're looking for. We did spent more than 15 bucks a person without any drinks, though. I'm liking this place a lot more than Tachibana.

Great, fresh sushi served by staff that cares. I think it is all one family. The food is great and very reasonably priced for sushi. I think it is the best kept sushi secret in town. I eat there at least twice a week and my family loves it too. They have Thai food for those that don't eat sushi, but I think the sushi is better. Try it!

Prompt friendly service. Delicious food. Knew there was five of us before we were even though the door and had five places set out for us. Love the teriyaki squid. Vegatarian friendly. Clearly state what is spicy and allows you select a spiciness level.

Went there last night for the first time in awhile, and it's even better than it was before (and it was good already). It seems that they've added some variety and options to the happy hour sushi menu. My wife and I ordered a ton of rolls, gyoza and edamame and the bill was under $50. The sushi is fresh and flavorful. Jay, the owner and sushi chef, is incredibly friendly and entertained my 2-year old while he was prepping rolls. Jay's son has been our waiter each time, and he's always friendly. I can't recommend this family-owned restaurant enough. You can't beat it as far as both taste and value.

Absolutely loved this place! My husband ordered two sushi rolls and I had the Thai Ginger with chicken. Food was very fresh with the perfect amount of flavor! Restaurant was clean and wait staff very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

Really quaint With good thai food. They also have the spice scale! Service is excellent and staff are so friendly. It is a little bit pricier than I like, but overall an awesome hidden gem in west county.

I am typically rather dubious about a place that does it all - Thai, Indian and sushi - but Ocha does all of it very well. I am a big fan of their curries, and the sushi is also amazingly fresh and well done. I do think the food tends toward the spicy side, and while this is a plus in my book, it's good to know when ordering! A side note: the owner teaches a sushi class at Kitchen Conservatory and if you have the chance, I highly recommend it! Ocha is located i a strip mall and doesn't look like much at all from the outside; inside though, it's fairly cozy and the booths are comfortable. I'd rate this place as my second favorite for sushi in St. Louis, and it's probably the ONLY place to get decent Thai food in this zip code.

We live 2 minutes from Ocha and only tried it for the first time tonight. So, so good! The concept is a bit schitzo between the Thai and the Japanese with some Vietnamese thrown in there for good measure. But once you get over that, make your choice and get ready for some deliciousness. Okay so you once you order your deliciousness, it won't arrive for quite some time....because there are like three people working...and one of them must be a magical grandmother in the kitchen.....but once your meal arrives you WILL BE HAPPY. We started with three appetizers, the fried gyoza (yum! with delish dipping sauce), the crispy spring roll (boring but probably would not order again but fine) and the summer roll (very good but needs some protein like the ones at mai li). We tried everything from Beef Pho, to Pad See Ew, to Spicy Eggplant and some beef fried rice. Everything was very well prepared and quite delicious. Nice flavor, heat, acid and moderated salt. My ground chicken spicy limely, oniony, bamboo shoot dish (that's the technical name) came with sticky rice and it was so, so, so (betcha think I'm going to say sticky)... just heavenly... with my entrée! Everything was fantastic and we would go back.

The best Thai food in West Co. Love it here and we keep coming back. Chicken satay so so but entrees awesome and enjoy the vegetable sushi- simple and no fish but fresh. Even excellent with takeout. We often get the Thai Beef Salad and the Sweet and Sour chicken entrees. Now I want to go to Ocha, just talking about it.

As a group we ordered Sushi to start with and I followed that up with the Penang Curry. The sushi was great. Especially enjoyed the crunchy spicy tuna roll. Then to top it off, my Penang Curry was wonderful! Great meal at a great value. I highly recommend this place.

Valentines day on a Friday night and they were able to accommodate me on my date with 5 young ladies! We landed a booth with their seat cushions and in floor seating. Although the Thai food is wonderful at this restaurant this time around we were here for one thing only and that was sushi. We started with a bowl of edamame and seaweed salad. Even my 1 year old enjoyed the seaweed salad. My 3 yo who has a "green food" aversion actually said I like it! These items were "good", pretty standard fare these days for Japanese restaurants. We then followed with numerous rolls including spicy tuna, salmon, alaska roll, spider roll, dynamite roll, eel and avocado, and a california roll. All of them tasted fresh but the winner of the bunch with my girls was the spider roll. As with other spider rolls in town, the soft shells crabs are presented with their deep tempura fried legs sticking out the roll. My personal favorite was the alaska roll with the fresh salmon on the top. Overall we ate way too much sushi but that didn't stop us from indulging in some desserts! You have to try the deep fried green tea ice cream, that is always wonderful and a perfect ending to a meal! This is a wonderful addition to the West County sushi scene especially with the loss of Tachibana. The Thai food is pretty good too but that is another story...

Seat yourself. Tables were dirty. Switched three times looking for a clean one. Sushi was subpar, tuna tasted like it was canned.

Delish! We started our dinner off with an order of Crab Rangoon and a California roll. Both were delightful. They used real crab in both dishes, not crab salad like most places. My husband and I shared two entrees. The curry fried rice with Chicken, We ordered it with medium spice and it was still too spicy for my liking. He loved it though. We also ordered the Pad See Ew with shrimp. We were both impressed! The staff was very friendly and always on top of our drinks. Prices are very fair. We are looking forward to trying new dishes next time we go!

We ordered Thai food from here, with only tempura for Japanese. Neither my wife nor I really liked the pad thai or curry, and the tempura was just okay. Beautiful space though, if you dine in.

The menu here is fantastic!! Lots of selections. We started the night with some crab rangoon, which you can never go wrong with. We got the Seafood Hot Pot, OMG, outstanding. We did get the level 3 hotness and boy was it hot but sooo good!! We also got the Ocha Noodles which I highly recommend. Then we topped it of with the Green Tea Fried Ice Cream!! I don't even know what to say about that besides Heavenly. This place is fantastic.

I believe I have found a new favorite Thai and sushi place! Great service and delicious food! We ordered papaya salad, pad see yu, and several sushi rolls. Their sushi menu isn't as extensive as other restaurants, so it was a lot less overwhelming when ordering. Sushi tasted fresh and oh so good! Check this place out!

Great sushi. Absolutely terrible service. Our first time there we thought may had been an anomaly but after another visit we have deemed this place a carry out only spot and from the volume of other carry out orders we saw, we are not the only ones that feel this way. We had the displeasure of having the same server both times we went there and she was so terrible that we will not be eating inside there again. There was about a two month space between visits and the same horrible waitress was still working so I'm guessing she is someone's favorite or someone's relative around there because she could not have cared less about helping her tables. Didn't ask how everything was when we got the food. We had to ask for refills of water. She left the bill but didn't clear the table. On that the table was still a mess after we paid. I make exceptions when it is busy or other circumstances make it so that they don't have time to check on us, this was not the situation though. The food is phenomenal though which is unfortunate for the amazing sushi chefs. We will carry out here probably on the regular. Won't be eating in there again though. Maybe someday.

I didn't dine in but got Pad Thai carry out. Service was quick, polite and efficient. . when I got back to my office I realized they threw in a couple egg rolls.. nice touch. The dining room looked awesome, very inviting. I'd like to go in and try dining in once. I used the rest room.. I think they had an issue w/ the plubming/sewer. YUCK.. I was the only person in the place so it was either that or someone really needs to see a doctor. This place is in a strip mall, no issues with parking.

This place is a great choice for lunch and dinner. The owner and sushi chef, Jay, trained under Nobu, and will make whatever you want. His wife is in charge of the Thai menu, which is very good. We really enjoy the spicy Thai basil stir fry, chicken larb, and satay. This is a great choice if you can't decide between Thai and sushi as both are done very well here! The location is in a strip mall way out west in Creve Coeur almost to chesterfield. If this place were in Clayton or the loop it would be gangbusters.

Another new sushi choice in the area to replace the now defunct Tachibana. I happened to see a Groupon for it, but I didn't buy that because their lunch special looked good. I went in here today with a co-worker, partially because of it's proximity to work. They offer eel, sea bass & white tuna nigiri (along with all of the other standards) on their $10 menu (served with miso soup & a fried spring roll). I'm a sucker for those little salads that they serve at most places & our waitress graciously swapped out the spring roll for the salad. Unfortunately, they were out of sea bass & white tuna. I knew about the sea bass after ordering, so they ended up sending out two eels (good), but with a piece of regular (red) tuna. I wasn't sure if they were just trying to pull a fast one, but it was definitely not WHITE tuna. She offered to replace it with some yellowtail tuna, which was acceptable to me (I ended up liking the regular tuna better, interestingly enough). I was just a little bothered that I wasn't told about their inventory issue when I ordered, because I would have chosen a spicy tuna roll instead of the nigiri option. Anyway, taking one star off for that, but it's not a deal breaker, because... The sushi was great. The eel nigiri was HUGE. So many places skimp on the eel, but it was plentiful, tender and fresh. The miso soup had tons of tofu in it & it was flavorful. The salads were pretty big too, nothing special but a good size. Service was very good (aside for the lack of communication about their low inventory). Apparently, they get a fish delivery on Monday (and it hadn't arrived yet), so maybe Tuesday is the day to go. Overall, I'm excited to go back again & will be adding it to our lunchtime sushi rotation. They also offer Thai, so that's an appealing alternative.

Great food but took a long time for food to come out. The green curry was pretty typical.

I tried Thai food here, which is good. The food is kind of sweeter than I prefer but still decent. I ordered tom yum soup. The taste of galangal (same family with ginger) in the soup is very balanced. Overall, the seasoning is just right. The shrimps are large and well cooked. You can tell they are fresh. $5 for that soup is very good though. Pad Thai was good with 7 big fresh well cooked shrimps (yes, I counted them). They serve food in the white dinnerware, which makes the dining experience very nice. The yellow curry is good and well seasoned as well. We also ordered Ocha noodle, which is good as well. I just tried the salmon and white tuna nigiri. They are also good. So we can't talk for the sushi here. But the Thai food is absolutely delicious. I would come back sometime to try more of the food. Service is nice. I have no complaint about that.

I was very hungry when we went here on 9/28/13 - however I MUST say this was one of the best food experiences I've had since... ever! So, I'll go back and double check the quality and let you know. Saturday though - we had some sushi to start. We just had some tuna & yellow tail and it was delicious. Then (because the chef recommended it) we had the Dragon Ball Z.... Oh. My. Goodness..... I would have to go back to look at all the ingredients. And I was in the mood for sushi and this was cooked. However, the shrimp was firm and succulent, the edge was crispy and sweet and the dribble of sauce was creamy with a little zest that made the shrimp taste like lobster! Did I mention it arrives on fire??? Fabulous presentation. I can't believe it was my hunger that made this so good... Please go and try this dish to make sure I wasn't hallucinating. I was sooo disapointed that Tachibana was gone. But I may have found my new favorite sushi (and now Thai) place in West County!!! Yay!! Oh, I have a pic somewhere here on Yelp. It's from my phone and I can't figure out how to get it on to this review : (

My wife and I have eaten here 3 times now, and it has become one of my favorite restaurants in St. Louis. I am particularly fond of their green and red curry dishes. Their sushi is made to order, as you would expect, and it is fresh and delicious. The owners and staff are very pleasant, and water and tea were always full (and had plenty of ice, which is a quirky expectation by which I judge good service). I had the Nam Tok Beef for New Years dinner, and it was also very good. I guess the only slight disappointment was that the Tom Kha soup was a little thin. I expected a thicker, more luxurious white broth, and, while delicious, it seemed to be thinned with some chicken stock. I highly recommend this place, both for their delicious food and the really inexpensive prices.

Best sushi I have had in St. Louis. Good value and high quality. Fantastic service. I eat at tons of restaurants and I have never been motivated to create a yelp account. However, this restaurant has changed me. I was shocked that it was not very busy. Awesome octopus salad if you are feeling adventurous. Sushi rolls are carefully made. I will pick this over Dunken Fish any day.

Best sushi and Thai in town. Uhm and Nok are fantastic. We have followed them since they were at Oishi's in the valley. Great service and he best sushi. I can't even eat sushi anywhere else as it is boring and bland. Ocha is the best. Check it out

Ocha has some of the best quality sushi I have tasted in St. Louis and the Thai food is equally good. Full of flavor and spice, I haven't had anything yet that I didn't like. I recommend the white tuna sushi, papaya salad and any of the noodle dishes.

We ate dinner there last week during their early evening Happy Hour. Was very impressed with the quality and quantity of food for the price. It's the basic rolls on special, but everything was very good and rolls were full size. A ton of food (including gyoza and edamame) for less than $35.
